AJM and APX Security Group Form Strategic Alliance to Elevate Integrated Safety and Medical Response

Ashley James Medical (AJM) has today announced a landmark partnership with APX Security Group. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in providing a seamless, "safety-first" ecosystem for venues, touring artists, Close Protection, VIP and Corporate Events, and public events.

By combining AJM’s elite clinical governance and emergency medical response with APX’s specialist security and risk management, the partnership offers clients a comprehensive solution that bridges the gap between physical protection and life-saving medical care.
A Unified Front for Public and Private Safety
In an era where event organisers and public venues face increasingly complex safety mandates, the AJM and APX partnership provides a streamlined approach to risk mitigation:

-
Integrated Rapid Response: AJM’s medical staff will work in direct synchronisation with APX security teams, ensuring that medical intervention is immediate even in high-pressure or restricted-access environments.
-
Specialised VIP & Touring Support: For high-net-worth individuals and touring artists, the alliance offers a discreet, dual-layered "Close Protection & Medical Escort" service, ensuring both physical safety and health continuity globally.
-
Enhanced Risk Assessments: The two groups will collaborate on comprehensive Medical Assessment Plans (MAP) and security protocols, providing a single point of accountability for Safety Advisory Groups (SAG) and local authorities.

The Gold Standard of Care and Protection
"Our clients operate in environments where every second counts," said the CEO & Head of Service at Ashley James Medical. "By partnering with APX Security Group, we aren't just placing a medic on-site; we are integrating our clinical expertise into a wider security framework. This ensures that whether we are at an event, a film set, or on tour with an artist, the safety net is unbreakable."

Looking Ahead
The partnership will officially launch this month, with joint deployments already scheduled for major upcoming UK festivals and events. The collaboration also includes a cross-training initiative, where APX personnel will receive advanced first-response training from AJM clinicians, and AJM staff will be briefed on APX’s latest crowd-management and threat-management tactics.
Through this alliance, Ashley James Medical and APX Security Group are redefining what it means to provide a "duty of care" in the modern world.

Growing to Serve You Better: New Office, CQC Application, and Home Office Licensing Application

Ashley James Medical is entering a transformative new chapter. We are proud to announce a move to a larger commercial headquarters alongside two major regulatory applications: CQC Registration and a Home Office Controlled Drugs Licence. These developments represent a significant leap forward in our operational capabilities, allowing us to provide a more comprehensive, autonomous, and higher-level medical service to our clients.

New Headquarters: A Hub for Clinical Excellence
To support our growing operations, we are relocating to a new, larger commercial facility. This move is about more than just extra desk space; it is about infrastructure. The new premises will be selected to meet the rigorous security and storage standards required for our expanded clinical services. It will serve as the central hub for our logistics, clinical governance, and equipment management, ensuring we can deploy fully equipped medical teams faster and more efficiently than ever before.

Raising the Standard: CQC Registration
We will soon be submitting our application for registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). While we have always operated with strict clinical governance, achieving independent CQC registration will accredit Ashley James Medical as a regulated provider of health and social care. This status will:

-
Validate our safety and quality standards against the national framework.
-
Allow us to undertake a wider range of regulated activities independently.
-
Give our clients absolute assurance that they are working with a provider that meets the highest benchmarks of care and safety.
Enhanced Capabilities: Home Office Controlled Drugs Licence
In a move that significantly upgrades our clinical scope, we will also be shortly applying for a Home Office Controlled Drugs Licence. Once granted, this licence will allow Ashley James Medical to securely possess, manage, and transport controlled medications.
For our clients in the event, film, and private sectors, this is a game-changer. It means our paramedics and clinicians will have direct access to a broader spectrum of pharmacological interventions—such as advanced pain relief and emergency medications—without relying on third-party arrangements.

This capability ensures that our medical teams are equipped to handle complex trauma and medical emergencies with the highest level of clinical autonomy.

A Word from Leadership
Ashley-James Redfern, CEO & Head of Service at Ashley James Medical, commented:

"These applications mark the transition of Ashley James Medical into a fully self-sufficient clinical powerhouse. By securing our own CQC registration and Controlled Drugs licence, we are removing barriers to the care we can provide. We are building an infrastructure that allows our clinicians to deliver hospital-level interventions in pre-hospital environments, all supported by our new dedicated headquarters."

We look forward to sharing further updates as we progress through these regulatory milestones. Thank you for your continued trust in Ashley James Medical.
